To the city of San Pedro and to "the one up there" that
gave us a beautiful Sunday. I play the bass in Radio Texas. I wanted
to say hello to all the colleagues with which I shared such a great
weekend.
Phonzy (Radio Texas)
Great festival!!! Congratulations to all the participating bands.
Great interpretations by MAX, The South and John Comins. As a fan
I was surprised by the friendship and cooperation between the different
bands. I hope this Festival takes place again and to be able to
share again with all country music lovers moments like those I lived
in San Pedro this weekend.
Betina
ROCK & RULE's swing, THE SOUTH' harmonies, JOHN COMINS' talent,
PASTO LOCO's voice and METROPOLIS guys who correctly said: "THIS
WAS AN INJECTION OF LIFE and it does not have to last a year".
Let's hope this takes place again sooner than that. EVERYBODY IS
EXCELLENT. There should be more festivals and more concerts all
over the country.
Francisco
The great challenge will be to make San Pedro "South America
Country Music Capital City". I join the challenge.
Jorge Faraldo (San Pedro)
I cannot find the way, words or sounds to thank and give back the
joy, emotion, the excitement I feel now. Thanks once again to the
entertainers that gave their best and that came from very far away,
to those that thought they were stars, to those that like country
music and that still listen to other types of music, to those that
did not dance, that criticized, that were thankful, that congratulated,
that drank, to those that did not go to the Festival but that listened
to it on the radio or learnt about it through country2.com or through
other media, to people in charge of sound that put up the equipment
twice, to the police, to San Pedro's kind people that have a great
city, to the media that covered this event, thank you and sorry
to those that provided lodging to the musicians, to "Formento"
(that is how Botas Tejanas named the festival announcer), to dad
Laurino, to those that never learnt about the festival (believe
it or not, there were people that did not know about the festival),
to all the people that helped and we did not even know they did,
to the people that did not know what country music was and that
became country music fans, to the people who came for a drink during
the afternoon and to those that spent the whole day at the Festival.
I am sure that I did not thank everybody but I want to say thank
you to all those that made this possible by helping with one or
several grains of sand.
Matias (Botas Tejanas)
EXCITEMENT, HAPPINESS, PLEASURE; that is part of what I felt during
this last weekend in San Pedro. There is one image I cannot get
out of my mind, that fabulous ending with all the great musicians
on the stage.
Alejandro F. del Pino (country2.com collaborator)
After waiting for 25 years to see something like this, my dream
came true. I want to thank the rain on Saturday because it increased
our yearning and expectations. Some hours later, the sunlight came
through my bungalow window at Tiro Federal. I jumped up from bed
and saw the blue sky. I felt at that moment that it was going to
be an unforgettable day for me. It surely was, thanks to everybody.
I want to see you soon.
Reynaldo Paladino (Pilar)
I hope this festival takes place at least once a year although
a meeting every three months would not be so bad.
Romina (San Pedro)
This was without doubt the event of the year. Thank you San Pedro!!
Anselmo Blotta (Buffalo Billys)
Hey Folks How you're doing?Well I'm writing you all to say thanks
and to congratulate the organizers and all the Bands. Rodrigo and
I made a lot of friends in Argentina; people we won't forget in
our entire lives. The show must go on and I hope to see you all
the following year in the next San Pedro Country Festival. Like
I said: I left my heart in Argentina.
Thiago Farah (Pure Country Music)
Thank you to all the organizers and to all the musicians from
Argentina, Brazil and Chile that made everything possible for this
party to be at the level of the best international festivals. I
hope this unity helps us to celebrate another party soon like the
one those of us who went to the beautiful San Pedro had. An applause
for everybody!!!
Chucky Calavera (DJ' - Boggie y Sus Aceitosos )
All the people in charge of the organization gave us an incredible
moment, but especially the bands, excellent bands that stirred something
that was asleep in me: the passion for country music. I only regret
one thing: NOT BRINGING MY COWBOY BOOTS AND MY HAT. I thought I
was going to be the only one dressed like that. I regret that but
I will have them ready for the next Festival and my sweetheart will
too. I hope the next Festival takes place soon.
Willy Peschillo
Besides giving thanks (we are not going to get tired of giving
thanks again) and the recognition to ALL the bands that were present
at the Festival, I want to emphasize people's goodwill, and the
human value, that was present at all moments, of the organizers,
the public, assistants, sound technicians and all the people that
made everything possible for the Festival to turn the way it did.
I am sure this date is and will be an inflection point in Wanted
Country Music's history. We want to tell everybody that we are going
to stay till the end in this "snowball" that is becoming
bigger, keeping this energy that brought us here.
Martín Blebel (Wanted)
Plain and simple: It is a great honor having participated from
such a Festival. It is something I will never forget in my whole
life. Congratulations to all the bands. I enjoyed a lot listening
to all that live music in just one day. You can count on us whenever
and wherever you need us to be.
Carlos Carranza (Los Búfalos Sedientos)
Well, I can hardly explain what I am feeling now, but I can assure
you that I feel something similar to becoming a father or winning
the heart of the love of our lives. I shall treasure forever the
moments we shared and the possibility to see you play.
Chello (Botas Tejanas)
It is unbelievable that this music is played in Argentina. I was
surprised because my wife finally convinced me to go to San Pedro.
It is a good thing that we could not leave for San Pedro until Sunday
at 9.30 am. We were able to see the whole Festival and I think,
even though I am not a Country Music expert, that MAX had a special
glow.
Alberto Lagos (Buenos Aires)
I was impressed by the logistics, the organization, the quality
of sound, the perfection and care with which things were done. The
timing was more than accurate, it was incredible. People received
us with a lot of affection. That is what I felt. The place exceeded
my expectations. We were very happy. The Way of the Cross ravines
made us have fun with our children and made us enjoy a PURE COUNTRY
MUSIC Sunday. I am surely overcome by what I experienced and I know
that during the next days I will continue remembering things that
will give shape to the impact of this experience. I do not have
any doubts that during the next days too, we will begin to see the
social impact that this brings about. Once more, congratulations
to all the organizers, to the musicians and to the public.
Body (Max)
Thank you for promoting country music in Argentina. We needed
from long ago an event like this to continue growing. I loved the
Festival. All the bands were great. I liked Crossroad a lot.
Sebastian Mazzotta (Olivos)
It is hard to wake up from such a dream. The raindrops that fell
on Saturday made the eagerness to listen to all these wonderful
bands stronger. As a finishing touch, God gave us a perfect day
for those of us that feel something indescribable when we listen
to this music.
Vanesa (Villa Ballester)
I enjoyed this great Festival a lot. I do not want to forget to
send my special regards for MAX. Their performance was really good.
María Jimenez (Buenos Aires)
It was one of the most exciting weekends of our lives. Sebastián
Almeida (Foggy Mountain Chupacabras)
We never thought this PARTY was going to become so big. We did not
know the country music community was so big. Enjoying a PURE COUNTRY
MUSIC weekend was something really WONDERFUL. Taking the children
did not let us do certain things, like sharing more things with
the bands during Saturday night's dinner, but it let us enjoy others,
like seeing our son Martín, sitting at the front row and
not missing any detail of the show. Every time we could not see
him, we knew we just had to look to the stage and there he was.
We hope from the bottom of our heart that this Festival takes place
year after year and that we all can continue enjoying what we like
and what bounds us: COUNTRY MUSIC!!!
Angeles (Max)
I am very happy because of the great day that we enjoyed on Sunday!
Anselmo Blotta (Buffalo Billys)
Thank you for pampering us so much. Yes, I was the one who took
the light of the stars to light up my life until we see each other
again, together again, under the San Pedro sky.
Old Richard
Incredible. A dream come true. I have been listening to country
music since I was 15 years old and I never imagined that I could
experience something like this in my country.
Willy Peschillo (Rosario)
I was deeply moved when I saw the picture in the web page and
I felt that great ideas can happen with great effort.
Lili (La Radio, 88.7)
Great Festival!
Steven Thomas (The South)
I still cannot believe what happened. I will repeat what somebody
from the public said: the Way of the Cross was magical, the scenery,
the great day, the river setting, San Pedro's folks and the friendship
between the bands was something great.
Vicki (Pasto Loco)
San Pedro, a wonderful city that had its baptism of FIRE during
the weekend and that became South America country music capital
city. Not even God or the weather could prevent this dream from
becoming real!
Luis (Radio Texas)
It was good for me to see such good and warm people.
Pedro M. Ibáñez (Announcer)
I can really cheer for San Pedro. An event that is up to other
important events around the world, with the exception that this
is the first one ever held in our country and with the presence
of foreign bands. A special mention to the best bands in my opinion:
Cuero Crudo and John Comins.
Gerardo (Radio Texas)
Congratulations to all the bands that shared the Festival with
us
We were really impressed by the talent and professionalism
shown by you on stage. There may be no words to describe it
You, cowboys are great! A hug and regards to all the organizers
and people that supported this important event.
Francisco Valdéz (Cuero Crudo)
What a festival y' all made for country music! I've been 10 years
on the stage and you made such a perfect organization (like FanFair!)
CONGRATULATIONS!Santa Fe friends... - You have what I want to find
in a country song - HEART! and of course the PUBLIC from all over
ARGENTINA - I want to play for you the rest of my life! Rodrigo
Haddad (Pure Country Band)
I will never forget the days I spent in San Pedro!
Mariano Higes (Yulie Ruth y las Ruedas del Sur)
During our long career, we have been to several cities in Argentina
and abroad, but we have never been to San Pedro. We hope to be back
soon.
Pepe (Max)
Thank you San Pedro for your friendship and goodwill.
Agostina (Crossroad)
A dream come true. We cannot stop thinking about how great it
to was to be there with you. We never imagined the quality with
which you play country music.
Simply terrific. Cuero Crudo
The festival was a success, especially regarding organization.
It should take place again next year of course. Facundo Villalba
(San Pedro)
What more can I say that has not been said? Like I said on stage:
what happened on Sunday was incredible. The answer of the public
was faultless; the organization, sound, people, so many things.
Hernan Biancardi (Rock and Rule Swing Band)
We can say: Argentina exists together with country music!
Marcelo Fabián Cutillo
I have always dreamed enjoyed a moment like this. How can I describe
what I feel, when my spirit still moves softly to the rhythm of
each chord? Yes, thanks to you I spent one of the great moments
in my life.
Alejandro Benestucci (Los Rebeldes del Country)
I wake up today and I still cannot believe it, having enjoyed
and played in such an important Festival. The truth is that I cannot
find the words to describe such Festival. We must keep struggling
to keep making this possible.
Sergio "Grosso" Oggento (Presumidos)
A great musical performance that managed to get to all kinds of
public. I am not an expert in country music. I am a rock and roll
fan. But, honestly, the Festival impressed all those that love good
music. I toast for this "new" country wave in Argentina.
I hope it takes place again and that it is a starting point to show
that there are still people that enjoy, know and are willing to
spread what they feel and listen to.
Guillermo Acosta (San Pedro)
The truth is that between the good music and San Pedro's peace,
it was one of the best weekend getaways I had in years. I hope it
takes place again. I wanted to keep listening to more music when
the Festival was over and to meet a pretty cowgirl like all the
ones that went to this Festival.
Daniel
Thanks to everybody for making true the dream of all country music
lovers in Argentina. The quality of the bands was very good and
the organization was perfect. It was worth while traveling 300 kilometers
to enjoy the greatest kind of music in the world: country music.
Leonardo Sinamon (Hurlingham)
You made mine and a lot of other people's dream come true.
La Colo (Wanted)
San Pedro folks' affection is great. They made us feel as if we
were at home although we were so far away.
Cucho, the Gipsy, Javier y Ginebra (La Rockabilera del Sur)
It was a perfect day: music, sunshine, San Pedro ravines, people
cheering and the bands that did a great job. That is what I call
playing. I think that MAX was the best band in the Festival. That
is what I call music. Another promising band is Botas Tejanas. Those
guys really do their best when they play.
Diego Jaime
Honestly, I was really surprised. I liked all the bands but especially
Radio Texas and Búfalos Sedientos.
Cecilia Jodara (Buenos Aires)
I have been listening to country music for almost 50 years. Most
of those years in complete loneliness; there simply was not anybody
with whom I could share this music. Fortunately, this situation
changed during the last years and we formed a fantastic group of
friends to share this "hobby" with. But one thing is to
share it with ten people and another is to share it with the crowd
that went to San Pedro. Bravo!
Roberto Lux
It would be great if we could hold this excitement until 2004 and
to clean the dust from our hats on the same day of the first date
of the next Festival. Each time I see the Way of the Cross it takes
control of my mind like a fiddle playing to the rhythm of a banjo,
making me relax when I hear the picking of a guitar. My feet walk
trying to wake up in harmony a battery of dreams and illusions that
will wake me up at the sound of a voice.
Waylon
When we were traveling to Argentina from Chile, we were sure this
Country Music Festival was a seed planted in fertile land and that
San Pedro received it to harvest it and to make it become the strongest
oak that can resist any storm. What I say is only the beginning
of what is going to happen in the future. We must be ready to participate
and to help in any possible way. A sincere hello to all and remember
that this can only be done "the cowboy way".
Leonardo Parada (Cuero Crudo)
It was good to go to the Festival in San Pedro. It was an opportunity
for me to see again people I have not seen for 7 or 10 years and
with whom we once shared the stage. It was amazing to see together
Rockabilly and Country Music public in an environment of respect
and friendship among the musicians and the public. It is good to
see people doing things seriously either on the stage or under the
stage without expecting anything in return.
Beto Bonfante (Santiago del Estero)
